CVE-2022-35508Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via malformed proxy URLs

Published Dec 4, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

SSRF in Proxmox VE and Mail Gateway allows remote authenticated users to read server files through the shared HTTP proxy. AnyEvent.pm proxy_request appends a URI that can begin with encoded slashes to a backend URL, letting an at sign redirect the request; the response handler then passes the pvestreamfile header directly to sysopen. A low-privilege account is sufficient; on Mail Gateway systems with a readable backup archive, disclosure of pmg-authkey.key also enables forged root@pam tickets.
