CVE-2022-35503Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unneutralized descriptor commands

Published Apr 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Command injection in Open Source MANO N2VC 7 through 12 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted VNF descriptor. The LCM module accepts descriptor-controlled input without neutralizing command elements before invoking it inside the LCM container. A valid OSM account and a submitted VNF descriptor are required; successful execution can alter OSM behavior, expose stored data, or reach other operator infrastructure.
