Process crash via out-of-bounds font read
Published Aug 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in OTFCC 0.10.4 allows context-dependent attackers to crash otfccdump via a crafted OpenType font file. The public disclosure identifies the failing locus only as release-x64/otfccdump+0x4fbc0b and does not disclose the source operation that reads beyond bounds. Processing the crafted font requires user interaction, and the documented consequence is an otfccdump process crash without confidentiality or integrity impact.
