Process crash via crafted OpenType font
Published Aug 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Heap-buffer overflow in OTFCC 0.10.4 allows attackers to crash otfccdump by inducing it to parse a crafted OpenType font file. The published materials identify only the release-x64/otfccdump offset 0x6b04de and do not disclose the parser function or unchecked operation that writes beyond the heap buffer. Processing attacker-controlled font input is required, and the bounded consequence is termination of the otfccdump process.
