Service interruption via unregistered DAMON target leak

Memory leakage in Linux Kernel DAMON sysfs allows local users to exhaust kernel memory by configuring a target with an invalid PID. The damon_sysfs_add_target function allocates a damon_target but, when find_get_pid fails before the target is linked to its context, the cleanup routine cannot release that allocation. Repeated triggering requires local access to the privileged DAMON sysfs control files and can interrupt service through memory exhaustion.
