Unauthenticated database compromise via qid SQL injection
Published Aug 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Web Based Quiz System 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate its database through the qid parameter in update.php. The endpoint fails to neutralize SQL syntax in attacker-controlled qid input before incorporating it into a database query. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests can read or alter database data and interrupt the database-backed service.
