CVE-2022-35405Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via XML-RPC deserialization

Published Jul 19, 2022 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Java deserialization in ManageEngine Password Manager Pro before 12101 and PAM360 before 5510 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The /xmlrpc endpoint passes a base64-encoded Java object from an XML-RPC serializable element to an unsafe parser, enabling a CommonsBeanutils1 gadget chain. Password Manager Pro and PAM360 require no authentication, while Access Manager Plus requires authentication; the demonstrated Windows exploit executes as SYSTEM.
