Local file disclosure via crafted inline image
Published Jul 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Local file disclosure in four ManageEngine support products allows attackers to read server files through crafted ticket-creation email. The inline-image handler accepts a crafted image URL pointing to a local path and attaches the referenced file to a ticket conversation when a technician replies or a notification fires. ServiceDesk Plus, ServiceDesk Plus MSP, and SupportCenter Plus require no login; AssetExplorer requires authentication, and exposure is limited to files present at attacker-specified paths.
