CVE-2022-3540Network attack vector

Authenticated email disclosure via prefix autocomplete oracle

Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 13, 2025

Information disclosure in Hunter 2 before 2.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to extract other users' email addresses via autocomplete. The UserAutocomplete view reveals whether a target user matches each supplied email prefix, enabling character-by-character reconstruction through repeated queries. Any authenticated account with autocomplete access can enumerate private email addresses, with no reported write or availability impact.
