Administrator-level script execution via unescaped testimonial fields
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Stored XSS in ThemePoints Super Testimonial before 2.7 and Super Testimonial Pro before 1.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to run script. The Position and Testimonial Text fields accept content without sanitization or output escaping, causing injected event handlers to execute in administration views and pages embedding the shortcode. Administrator-level access is required, and execution occurs when another user views the saved testimonial.
