Authenticated object injection via unvalidated PHAR path
Published Nov 7, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025
PHAR deserialization in Addify Role Based Pricing for WooCommerce before 1.6.3 allows remote authenticated users to trigger object injection. The import_pricing_rules AJAX action accepts a user-controlled file_path value and processes its phar:// resource without path validation. Subscriber access, file-upload capability, a malicious PHAR, and a compatible gadget chain on the site are required to instantiate attacker-controlled objects.
