Web server crash via empty certificate upload
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Robustel R1510 3.1.16 and 3.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash the web server via a crafted request. The /action/import_cert_file/ handler passes an empty upload's files value of -1 to hashFirst, which uses it as an array index. Administrator privileges are required; exploitation interrupts web management without reported data disclosure or modification.
