Authenticated web-server crash via invalid hash index
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Robustel R1510 3.1.16 and 3.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash its web server via a crafted POST request. A file-less POST leaves webs->files at -1, and hashFirst continues past a non-enforcing range assertion before indexing the sym array with that value. Administrator authentication is required, and successful exploitation terminates the web-server process, interrupting management access.
