CVE-2022-35246Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file URL disclosure via NoSQL injection

Published Sep 23, 2022 · Updated May 22, 2025

NoSQL injection in Rocket.Chat before 4.7.5, before 4.8.2, and before 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to disclose file URLs. The getS3FileUrl Meteor server method fails to restrict its file selector to a scalar value, allowing MongoDB operators to select uploads outside the caller's access. A valid low-privilege account is required; exposure is limited to download URLs for uploaded files the account cannot otherwise access.
