Privilege escalation in Boodskap IoT Platform 4.4.9-02 allows remote authenticated users to grant themselves administrator access. The /api/user/upsert/ endpoint accepts a user-profile update that sets the caller's role to administrator without enforcing authorization. The published CVSS assessment requires low privileges, although the demonstrated request has a blank cookie; successful use grants administrator rights.
