Authenticated command execution via unsanitized GPG filename
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
OS command injection in Usermin 1.850 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the GPG module. The GPG import.cgi handler inserts the submitted local-file path into a shell command inside single quotes without escaping, so a crafted filename terminates the quote and adds commands. A valid Usermin account and access to both File Manager and GPG are required; injected commands run with the authenticated user's operating-system privileges.
