Memory-safety flaw in gif2swf in SWFTools commit 772e55a2 allows local users to crash the converter by processing a crafted GIF file. MovieAddFrame reads through a null address at gif2swf.c line 268 while adding a malformed GIF frame, causing a segmentation fault. Exploitation requires local users to make gif2swf process the file; the demonstrated consequence is converter termination rather than a system-wide outage.
