Process crash via heap out-of-bounds write
Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Heap buffer overflow in OTFCC otfccdump 0.10.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the utility via a crafted font file. Published records identify an out-of-bounds heap write at otfccdump offset 0x6b03b5 but do not disclose the parsing routine or malformed font field that triggers it. A user must process the attacker-supplied font with otfccdump; the documented consequence is a process crash, with no reported code execution.
