Process crash via otfccdump out-of-bounds heap write
Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Heap buffer overflow in OTFCC otfccdump 0.10.4 and earlier allows attackers to crash the process by supplying a crafted font file. The published record identifies only release-x64/otfccdump offset 0x6b0d63 and does not disclose the parsing routine or incorrect operation beyond an out-of-bounds heap write. Exploitation requires a user to process attacker-controlled input; the documented consequence is loss of availability, not data access or modification.
