Restricted template disclosure via missing permission check
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 10, 2025
Missing authorization in OTRS 8.0.x through 8.0.25 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted article template contents. The article-template retrieval path returns template content without verifying that the requesting agent has permission to access it. Exploitation requires an agent account and user interaction; it exposes template data but does not modify data or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
