Denial of service in BitBank Software JPEGDEC 1.2.7 and earlier allows attackers to crash a decoding process via a crafted JPEG image. TIFFSHORT reads from an invalid address while GetTIFFInfo parses TIFF metadata supplied by the crafted image. A target application must process the malicious image; the demonstrated consequence is a process crash, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
