CVE-2022-3499Network attack vector

Authenticated log disclosure via reused linking keys

Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025

Improper access control in Tenable Nessus 10.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read agent logs and data. Nessus uses identical keys for agent and cluster-node linking, failing to separate those trust relationships when authorizing access. Exploitation requires authenticated access and a usable linking key; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of agent logs and associated data.
