Arbitrary file upload in Open Source Social Network 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through the component installer. The administrator/com_installer route accepts a component archive containing PHP and installs its contents without rejecting executable file types. Administrator access is required, and the project owner regards component installation as intended behavior; successful use grants server-side code execution.
