Browser script execution via unsanitized SitePages content
Published Jul 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in OpenTeknik OSSN 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers via SitePages. The SitePages terms editor persists an HTML event-handler payload submitted to its edit action and renders it on the Terms and Conditions page without neutralizing executable markup. Administrator access is required to plant the payload, and another user must view the affected page for the script to run in that visitor's OSSN context.
