Stored script execution via unsanitized group location
Published Jul 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in OpenTeknik OSSN 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in Group Timeline viewers’ browsers. The group post endpoint stores markup supplied in the location field and renders its event handlers in the timeline without neutralization. An authenticated group member must submit the payload; timeline rendering then executes it in the viewer’s OSSN browser context.
