Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized translations
Published Nov 7, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025
SQL injection in Complianz GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent before 6.3.4 and Complianz Premium before 6.3.6 allows remote authenticated users to run SQL. The final wizard step inserts a translated advertising-cookie message into a database query without sanitizing or preparing the SQL statement. A translator with wp-admin access can supply the string through a translation file or plugin, but exploitation requires personalized-advertising options to be enabled.
