Code execution via forged administrative page creation
Published Aug 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Yuba u5cms 8.3.5 allows remote attackers to execute code by targeting an administrator. The u5admin/savepage.php endpoint accepts a forged POST without an anti-CSRF token and stores attacker-supplied PHP in a CMS page. An authenticated administrator must follow an attacker-controlled link; the resulting page can function as a web shell on the server.
