Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated sort order
Published Aug 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in JFinal CMS 5.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the user-list sorting parameter. UserController.list appends the request-controlled orderBy value directly to an SQL ORDER BY clause without validation or neutralization. Access to the administrative user-list route is required, and the resulting query runs with the application's database permissions.
