Unauthenticated command execution via file upload wizard
Published Aug 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authentication in Zengenti Contensis Classic before 15.2.1.79 allows remote attackers to execute commands via file upload. The wizard accepts a blank SecurityToken, trusts an attacker-supplied UserID, and lets the uploaded ASPX file be approved and published as HTML. No account or user interaction is required; published ASPX content executes commands in the web server's security context.
