Broker crashes via unchecked collection-length allocation

Resource exhaustion in affected Apache Kafka 2.8.0 through 3.2.1 releases allows remote attackers to crash brokers via crafted requests. The request parser allocates an ArrayList from an attacker-declared variable-length field before checking whether the payload contains enough data. Network access alone suffices on unauthenticated or SASL listeners, while TLS client-authenticated listeners require a valid certificate; exhausting heap memory interrupts the broker service.
