Unauthenticated admin URL change via unchecked settings write
Published Nov 7, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025
Missing authorization in Weberge WPHide 0.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to change the administrative login URL via HTTP. The admin-post handler accepts custom_wpadmin_slug without authorization or CSRF checks and writes it to the plugin settings. No account or user interaction is required; exploitation changes the hidden administration path and can disrupt legitimate administrative access.
