Authenticated SQL injection via file_download
Published Jul 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
SQL injection in VICIdial User Stats before 3555 allows remote authenticated users to read, alter, or destroy database data via file_download. The /vicidial/user_stats.php handler incorporates the file_download parameter into database operations without adequate neutralization, allowing crafted input to manipulate SQL statements. Exploitation requires an authenticated account reaching User Stats; successful requests can disclose records, modify or erase data, interrupt database availability, and potentially obtain database-administrator control.
