Information disclosure via Annotation modDate out-of-bounds read
Published Jul 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Foxit PDF Reader 11.2.1.53537 allows remote attackers to disclose data through a malicious PDF or page. JavaScript actions on an Annotation object's modDate property cause the application to read past the end of allocated memory because allocation boundaries are not properly validated. A target must open the file or visit the page; the read discloses process data and supports code execution only when chained with another flaw.
