Service interruption via undisclosed traffic handling
Published Aug 4, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper input validation in F5 BIG-IP and BIG-IQ on AWS allows remote attackers to terminate TMM with undisclosed network traffic. F5 identifies the locus as TMM traffic processing through the DPDK/ENA driver but has not disclosed which traffic is mishandled or how validation fails. Exposure requires an affected AWS deployment using that driver and conditions outside the attacker's control; a successful attempt interrupts traffic while TMM restarts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=15.1.x <15.1.6.1
