Reflected XSS via unescaped fileList output
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Reflected XSS in WPB Show Core 2.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a crafted fileList parameter. The plugin returns fileList input in a generated page without sanitizing the value or escaping it for the surrounding HTML context. Exploitation requires a user to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which the script executes in that user's browser within the site's origin.
