Stored XSS via unsanitized Activity Log comments
Published Oct 27, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Stored XSS in VERMEG AgileReporter 21.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The Analysis component stores an unsanitized payload entered as an Activity Log comment and renders it in the Comments view. A lower-privileged user can plant the comment, but another user must open the affected Return's Comments view; the published demonstration confirms script execution, not broader compromise.
