Privilege escalation in Carel Boss Mini before 1.9.0_Hotfix_20220930 allows remote authenticated users to obtain a root terminal. A configuration update sends the entire configuration to the embedded web server, which accepts a maintainer's altered terminal-view permission. A maintainer account and intercepted web request are required; successful exploitation grants root control of the HVAC controller.
