Job rename or deletion via CSRF
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in Jenkins Request Rename Or Delete Plugin 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to accept pending job rename or deletion requests. The plugin's state-changing HTTP endpoint accepts non-POST requests, so a crafted cross-site request can invoke the pending-request acceptance action. Exploitation requires a targeted Jenkins administrator to load the crafted request; successful exploitation renames or deletes the jobs named by pending requests.
