API-key exposure via cleartext configuration form responses
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Jenkins OpsGenie Plugin 1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read configured API keys. The global and job configuration form renderers return stored API-key values in cleartext instead of masking them as secrets. Access to either authenticated configuration form is required, and exposure is limited to the configured OpsGenie credential.
