API key disclosure via plaintext configuration storage
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Plaintext credential storage in Jenkins OpsGenie Plugin 1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read API keys. The plugin serializes API keys without encryption into com.opsgenie.integration.jenkins.OpsGenieNotifier.xml and job config.xml files on the controller. Item/Extended Read permission exposes job-scoped keys, while controller filesystem access exposes keys in both locations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
