Configuration disclosure via missing endpoint permission checks
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Jenkins Recipe Plugin 1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to invoke privileged HTTP endpoints. Multiple form-validation and recipe-export endpoints omit permission checks before fetching attacker-selected URLs or returning complete job configuration XML. Overall/Read access enables server-side XML retrieval, while Item/Read access exposes unredacted encrypted secret values in exported job data.
