CVE-2022-34778Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped test results

Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Nov 20, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Jenkins TestNG Results Plugin 554.va4a552116332 and earlier allows attackers to execute script through test results. The post-build report renderer emits test descriptions and exception messages without escaping when either job-level escape option is disabled. Attackers must be able to configure a job or control its TestNG result data, and a user must view the affected report for the stored script to run.
