Account takeover via unauthorized profile modification
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Improper access control in Tabit before 3.27.0 allows remote attackers to modify loyalty-account contact details through a mapped tiny URL. The mapped endpoint exposes a page that accepts changes to a specific member's email address and phone number without authentication. Published assessments disagree on required user interaction, but replacing the email enables a password reset and account takeover.
