CVE-2022-34763Network attack vector

Unauthorized firmware loading via improper signature verification

Published Jul 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Firmware authenticity bypass in Schneider Electric BMENOR2200H and BMENUA0100 modules allows remote authenticated users to load unauthorized firmware. The firmware-update path improperly verifies image signatures before accepting an image, allowing an unauthorized image to pass the authenticity check. Exploitation requires high privileges and network access; successful loading can compromise firmware integrity and interrupt module availability.
