Root command execution via snapshot deletion parameter
Published Jul 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
OS command injection in Schneider Electric SpaceLogic C-Bus Home Controller 1.31.460 and earlier allows remote authenticated users root command execution. The delsnap.pl Perl/CGI handler incorporates the name GET parameter into a snapshot path, where a leading pipe invokes an attacker-supplied shell command. Access to the web interface is required; successful exploitation runs with uid 0 and permits full control of the controller.
