Remote code execution via malicious server response
Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Remote code execution in the Microsoft ODBC Driver on affected Windows builds allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious server response. The driver parses attacker-controlled data returned after a client connection, and unsafe handling of that data permits code execution. Exploitation requires a user or application to connect to an attacker-controlled database server; no remote unauthenticated service probe is exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
