Authenticated SQL injection via cityedit parameter

Published Oct 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

SQL injection in city.php in SourceCodester Human Resource Management System allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The city.php handler incorporates the cityedit parameter into an SQL command without neutralizing SQL metacharacters, allowing crafted input to change the database operation. A valid low-privilege session is required; successful exploitation can expose or modify application data and interrupt database-backed operations.
