CVE-2022-34681

Windows crash via unvalidated display data

Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Improper input validation in NVIDIA vGPU Software Graphics Driver through 11.9, 13.4, or 14.2 allows local users to crash Windows. The nvlddmkm.sys kernel-mode handler processes a display-related data structure without adequately validating its contents. An unprivileged regular account with local access can trigger the availability-only failure; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
