External path control in NVIDIA vGPU Software Graphics Driver allows local users on Windows to read or modify protected system files. The user-mode layer accepts an externally controlled file name or path without adequately restricting the referenced target. An unprivileged regular account is sufficient; resulting file access can enable code execution, privilege escalation, disclosure, tampering, or denial of service.
