Authenticated code injection via device console
Published Jul 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Code injection in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROS devices allows remote authenticated users to compromise web resources through the device console. Siemens states that the console injects code into the web server but has not disclosed the affected command, input, or validation failure. CLI access is required, and impact occurs when legitimate users open affected web resources, allowing attacker-controlled behavior in their sessions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <V4.3.8
